How LiDAR Building Scanning Works

Scope it, scan it once, get back files you can build from. No second-guessing the field work. No return trips. Small jobs back in 1–2 days.

What to expect from first contact to final files

Schedule

Tell us about your project. We'll scope the scan and provide a quote — usually within one business day.

We define building size, access, and the deliverables your team actually needs so the site visit is planned correctly from the start.

Scan

Our team shows up at the site with LiDAR equipment. Most buildings scan in 1–2 hours. Zero disruption to occupants.

The full existing conditions are captured in one visit. No return trips, no missed dimensions. The old way — field measuring room by room with a tape measure and a sketch pad — takes a full day or more, introduces transcription errors, and still requires return trips when something gets missed. LiDAR replaces all of that with a single coordinated site visit.

Deliverables icon3

Deliver

Accurate floor plans and 3D data in the formats you need. Most jobs deliver in 1–2 days. Larger buildings may take up to 5.

PDF, Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, SketchUp, or point cloud — whatever your workflow requires.

How pricing and timing are scoped

Pricing is based on building size and the deliverables you actually need. Small residential and tenant-improvement jobs move fast — most are back in 1–2 days. Larger commercial properties take more field time and drafting effort.

GRAB doesn't publish fake flat-rate pricing. Every building is different, and the honest way to quote it is to scope your actual project first.

Send the basics — size, location, what you need delivered — and you'll hear back within one business day.

What to expect

  • On-site scan time: 1–2 hours for most buildings
  • Deliverable turnaround: 1–2 days for most projects, up to 5 for larger buildings
  • One visit: Everything captured in a single site trip — no return visits
  • Formats: PDF, Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, SketchUp, point cloud

Turnaround depends on building size, deliverable scope, and complexity. Rush scheduling available for time-sensitive projects.
